Pabrinex® is an important hospital treatment for a potentially life threatening form of brain damage most commonly seen during alcohol withdrawal. In this market there was a great deal of confusion about which patients should be treated and, when identified, how to treat them. This was a major hurdle to successful promotion.
Link has gained national key opinion leader support for Pabrinex® and instigated a successful educational campaign with key clinicians. This has resulted in strong sales growth. Also last year the Royal College of Physicians published national guidelines on alcohol misuse and recommended the use of Pabrinex® in at risk patients.
